IBAC Announces New IS-BAH Standards Board for 2021/2022

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) recently conducted its annual International Standard for Business Aircraft Handling (IS-BAH™) Standards Board meeting where it virtually welcomed three new members for 2021-2022 and thanked returning board members for their continued service. New members include Kevin Donnelly from Jet Aviation US, Dawit Lemma from Krimson Aviation, and Benjamin Hammond from Duncan
Aviation.

IBAC Announces FlightSafety International as New Industry Partner

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) announced
FlightSafety International has joined as an IBAC Industry Partner. The alliance between the two
organizations began more than a decade ago when they co-developed a series of e-learning
courses on the International Standard for Business Aircraft Operations (IS-BAO) and Safety
Management Systems (SMS), hosted by FlightSafety. IBAC welcomes the global training
company as the latest Industry Partner.

Aviation Industry Announces Establishment of the “Council on Sustainable Aviation Fuels Accountability”

Washington, DC, April 15, 2021 – The aviation industry announced that – to build on its already impressive scope of activities for reducing carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions – they are establishing the Council on Sustainable Aviation Fuels Accountability (CoSAFA), which is intended to accelerate the industry’s movement toward further decarbonizing aviation and increasing the adoption of sustainable aviation fuels (SAF).

IBAC Welcomes The Election of Juan Carlos Salazar Gómez as ICAO Secretary General

The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) welcomes Juan Carlos Salazar Gómez of Colombia as the incoming Secretary General of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO). Elected on 25 February by the 36-member ICAO Council, Mr. Salazar will start his term in August. He will be responsible for directing the operations of ICAO’s Secretariat and the organization’s relations with 193 member states.

Leading Business Aviation Groups Form Alliance Against Illegal Charters

Today, a global group of leading business aviation organizations announced a coordinated effort to combat illegal on-demand charter flights in the sector. The group, called the Air Charter Safety Alliance, will raise awareness among potential customers, charter brokers, ministries of transport, and national aviation authorities regarding the use of unauthorized aircraft operators for on-demand flights.
