IBAC Welcomes MedAire and DuPont as New Industry Partner and Operator Affiliate Members
MONTREAL – 11 May 2020 – The International Business Aviation Council (IBAC) recently added two new supporting members, MedAire and the DuPont flight operation, to its new Industry Partner and Operator Affiliate membership types.
MedAire, an international SOS company specializing in remote medical, security and operational support to clients in the air, on land and at sea, is now an IBAC Industry Partner. “Knowing that IBAC is working to represent best interests of global business aviation is important to all of us in the industry and we at MedAire are proud to participate and support IBAC’s efforts as an Industry Partner,” stated Bill Dolny, president and CEO at MedAire. “We also look forward to expanding our collaboration with the globally recognized safety standards, IS-BAO and IS-BAH programs.”
DuPont de Nemours Inc. flight operation is based in New Castle, Delaware, and supports international travel with the use of a business jet. Clifford Ward, chief pilot for DuPont commented, “Our Director of Aviation, Elizabeth Dornak, has served on the IBAC Governing Board as an NBAA board representative for many years, so we are very aware of IBAC’s activities and its mission to represent business aviation. As an IS-BAO Stage 3 international flight department that manages operations around the world, we are happy to support IBAC’s work that helps foster and grow our business aviation industry.”
Kurt Edwards, IBAC Director General commented, “We are excited to have these two business aviation leaders join IBAC and thank them for their support. As IBAC’s objective is to serve the diverse needs of business aviation across the globe in international regulatory and policy making venues, we welcome industry participation to further build our capabilities and visibility. During this turbulent time in particular, the leadership of MedAire and DuPont supports IBAC’s efforts to maintain its service to the industry and to have an important seat at the table for the eventual global resumption of flying. In addition, I would also like to thank all of our 14 member associations and other Industry Partner, Bombardier, and Operator Affiliate, Mr. Ron Duncan at GCI, for their continued support.”
Historically, IBAC membership has been limited to national and regional business associations, but now business aviation manufacturers, service providers, and flight operations can get involved with IBAC as an Industry Partner or Operator Affiliate member. Organizations wishing to participate in one of the new membership groups must also be a member of at least one of the 14 IBAC member associations.
